Students may not access their PDA/Cell during exam. The numerical problems will be designed to allow calculations without electronic aid.
Term
Paper
The optional term paper
is to be a minimum of 6,000 words and no more than 6,500 words. It is to
be 12 pt. font, one inch margines, separate cover/title page. Charts and
maps are good. The term paper must be typed and follow all the standard
university rules on writing style, spelling, and layout. If you choose
this option, you must interview a person responsible for making a decision
of the kind covered in the topics of this course. The person interviewed
must be resident in Alachua County, and the business
or government operation must take place in Gainesville or surrounding
Alachua County. The person interviewed must not be employed by University
of Florida or do their primary work for University of Florida. The term
paper will integrate the interview with the subject matter of this course.
The term paper will not be returned; if you want to retain a copy, you
may hand in a photocopy of the term paper along with the original and I
will return one copy to you. You may submit the paper via email as a PDF
or Microsoft Word file.
