By the late decades of the 17th century a number of publications had appeared comparing the merits of the various world systems.  By this time, most specialists, but far from all, were advocates of a sun-centered model.  It is far from clear what the so-called 'reading-public' at this time believed much less what other inhabitants of Europe thought about the Great Debate over the World System.  Be that as it may, the illustration above comes from an as yet unidentified late-17th-century publication (from the author's collection).  It illustrates a number of geometrical models, most notably, in the center diagram, the so-called Tychonic model.  This and other illustrations help show the descriptive power and continued influence of the geo-heliocentric model.  I again supply the following Clicks.
