COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

You will write many in-class assignments and short out-of-class assignments, and one long research paper. You will also do a poster presentation of your research at the end of the semester. You must complete ALL assignments in order to pass the course. Papers are due at the beginning of class on the assigned date, and one letter grade will be subtracted for all late papers.

Regular attendance (for each 3 unexcused absences you will lose half a grade) and active class participation are also expected. Come to class on time and be prepared for discussion. If you are absent for any reason, you are still accountable for the work done in class and for the assignments given that day. Cheating, plagiarism, and any other misrepresentation of academic work are prohibited and will result in a failing grade for the assignment and/or an "F" grade for the entire course.
