fMRI
(functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
makes it possible to measure the differences
in cerebral bloodflow in response to a task,
in our case reading sentences and texts.
In this way we can determine which areas
of the brain are involved in particular
aspects of language processing. We use the
3T Siemens scanner located at AMRIS
facilities at the McKnight Brain Institute
of the University of Florida (seen,
right).
