Kinship

(clockwise, from top left: Alexis Furze, Lesley Munth, Carla Conaway, and Jorge Menendez)

Our field experiment includes participant observation of a typical Yucatecan family. The family under study is the Rivas de Rosado family (Alexis's host family). As a group, we attended Sunday dinner at the Rosado household, where the majority of the extended family was present. Our group recorded observations, photographed family interactions and conducted interviews, in order to provide a complete investigation into the kinship of a typical Yucatecan family.
