Featured Scholar: Meredith Stanford
Junior nursing major Meredith Stanford has been interested in pursuing
a medical career since she was a child, but it took years for her to decide
which specialization most appealed to her. "Between elementary school
and high school, I wanted to be everything from a pediatrician to a physical
therapist," explains Stanford. So, when her older sister Robbin enrolled
in nursing school and described her interaction with patients, Stanford
listened with interest. By the time she graduated from Miami Springs High
School in 1997, she had decided to major in nursing at UF.
