- Assignment from Dr. Mike Perfit- Dr. Perfit presented information about the search request and authorization.
- Development of the ad- put together a rough draft of the ad. Plan to circulate it among the committee for revisions, then send out to Geological Sciences faculty
- Planning for advertising- will look into costs and lead times required for advertising in: Nature, Science, GSA Today (Geological Society of America), EOS (Publication of American Geophysical Union), AWG (Association for Women Geoscientists), Consortium for Ocean Leadership, and ESWN (Earth Science Women’s network)
- Search Planning- desire to start interviewing in Jan., hope to bring in ~5 people including a diverse pool, finish by early March and get an offer out soon after.
- Introduction to Faculty Recruitment Toolkit- everyone needs to complete the online tutorial
