October 30, 2007
Attendance: Drs. Chambers, Cottrell, Hermer-Vazquez, Schlenker, Shepperd
The search committee discussed the applicant pool and arrived at two lists of applicants: an “A” list (n = 9) that represented applicants with impressive credentials, and a “B” list that represented (n = 8) applicants that were very strong but a tier below the “A” list. We agreed that applicants on the “A” list would receive phone interviews and that we would meet on November 6 to finalize who we would bring in for campus visits.
November 6, 2007
Attendance: Drs. Chambers, Cottrell, Schlenker, Shepperd
The search committee discussed the information gathered from phone interviews. Three candidates clearly emerged on top and the committee agreed to invite these three applicants for on-campus interviews barring that follow-up phone conversations with these applicants go well. The committee agreed to try to complete all interviews by Dec 5, 2007.
