- Dean Sullivan called the Assembly to order shortly after 4:00.
- Dean Sullivan introduced the new Chairs:

- Dragan Kujundzic, Germanic& Slavic Studies
He also introduced new Directors: - Jack Kugelmass, Jewish Studies
- Caroline Wiltshire, Linguistics
- Millie Pena, Women's Studies
- The President Pro Tempore for the 2005-06 academic year, Scott McCullough, Mathematics was introduced.
- Dean Sullivan invited Chairs and Directors to present their new faculty
