    I like to exercise—walk, swim, snorkel, basketball, bicycle. I like to learn to play music on violin—classical & fiddling. I like to create art, rug-hooking, ceramics, painting. I like to garden. I have 2 brothers and sisters. I am married and my husband is a folk artist- Jerry Coker. My husband has visited Japan and Korea . I have taught art at the same school for 21 years. I have been nationally Board Certified in art since 1999.

    I am an English major who decided to teach. Teaching middle school is such an experience. My hobbies are reading, sewing, and surfing the Internet. I want to incorporate various aspects of multicultural studies in any subject I teach as students receive such limited exposure to other cultures.

    Mother of two-- Brendien- 31, Courtney- 19. Three grandchildren-- 12, 3, and 1. Hobbies-- sewing, quilting, needlepoint, cooking/ baking-- small business, "Make it or Bake it." I do a lot of business during the holidays, as well as wedding cakes. I have been teaching two years in the middle school. This will be my first year in high school inclusion. I enjoy teaching in the ESE population because I believe all children can learn. Some may learn slower than others but all children can learn given the chance.

    Born and raised in Argentina. I received my bachelor's degree in Argentina in geography. I came to the US five years ago to pursue a master's degree in Latin American Studies at FIU. I taught geography in Argentina and now ancient world history at Palmer Trinity School. I am very enthusiastic about this seminar!

    As a teacher, Ms. Miller's focus is primarily 3-D. Topics include: jewelry, sculpture, stained glass, printmaking, drawing and painting, and visual performance for special education. In addition, Ms. Miller is a producing artist currently working in jewelry. She exhibits at art shows throughout Florida and the southeastern USA where she has won numerous awards for her work.

Hsband Bob works at KSC. Worked on Blue Ribbon Application team. Attended Holocaust Seminar in Poland 2005. Was a conference facilitator for People to People for middle school students in March/April 2006.

    I have taught K-8 art at All Souls Catholic School since 1994. Married with 3 children: Stephen, 27; Deanne, 25; and Nichole, 16. I love painting, clay work, and I'm presently working on ceramic medallions for necklaces. I love to travel and my favorite trip was to Sicily and Italy in 2001 for my 25th wedding anniversary. I would love to go on the trip to China next summer. My husband is a financial advisor for MetLife. We love motorcycle riding and Harleys.

    I am 38; I am married with one daughter. I was born in Michigan but have lived in GA and NC also. I attended Winston-Salem State University. I love to travel and go to places using back roads. I love Disney-- Epcot is my favorite park. I would really like to travel overseas one day and would love to see England. I majored in history because I enjoy finding out about how people lived their lives. I don't really care about the political side but enjoy finding those little things about people and places which textbooks leave out. I collect teapots and trolls and would like to go to Norway one day also. I teach technology to K-8 which is wonderful because I have no curriculum, so I can do whatever with the class.

    After 20 years as a book editor, I made a career change to teaching. I have never looked back! Four years now into teaching a hybrid "Global Studies" course-- English, Geography, and World Cultures-- to 7th graders. I am looking forward to immersing myself in the integration of Asian Studies into my curriculum.
