This website, run by Columbia University, provides teaching materials and links to a variety of East Asian topics.

Asia-Art.Net
This site has links to many East Asian art forms from a number of countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Run by the Asia Society, this site has information on Asian cuisines.

Morikami Museum
This South Florida museum hosts a variety of interesting exhibits and tours related to Japanese culture. They are also having a teacher training day on September 9!

Teaching about East Asia: Resources for Secondary Teachers
This website is hosted by Duke University Libraries, and features annotated guides to websites about China, Japan, and Korea. There is also a guide to evaluating internet sources, as well as a guide to East Asia more generally and audio/visual sources.

Outreach World: East Asia
This website has articles about outreach activites related to East Asia from around the United States. A nice way to see what your colleagues are doing!

Asia Education Foundation
An Australian organization that has curriculum resources available for purchase or online.

Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools
This organization organizes trips to China for administrators interested in starting Chinese language programs in their schools.

Florida Department of Education Social Studies
This is the official DOE website with information on social studies standards and curricula.

East and Southeast Asia Resources
An annotated guide to online resources.

Van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam)
The museum is currently featuring the "Japanese Season," and explores the influence of Asian art on Vincent Van Gogh. You can purchase the exhibition catalogue online.

Center for Global Partnership
This organization seeks to promote US-Japan relations. They have grants available for K-12 education projects, and focus their efforts on the American South.

Asian Film Foundation
"The Asian Film Foundation's primary purpose is to promote the cultures of Asia through the presentation of the region's rich cinematic traditions. AFF's secondary purpose is to foster an awareness for the importance of film preservation for these films. "

Asian Film Commission
Promotes filmmaking in Asia and provides information on filmmaking in China, Japan, and Korea.

National Board for Professional Teaching Standards
Not Asia-related, but interesting to look at. These are national teaching standards in a variety of subject areas; also check out the Florida Sunshine State Standards.

A Virtual Village
This site, created by Wesleyan University, allows you to take a virtual tour of a North Indian village. Features many topics about village life.

The China Institute
A non-profit cultural and educational foundation with programs for students, educators, and the general public. Offers excellent curriculum materials for download.

Early American Trade with China
From the University of Illinois, a curriculum unit that would be of interest to American history as well as global studies/ world history teachers.
