National Consortium for Teaching About Asia: UF Seminars

Academic Year 2007-2008 Seminar, dates are Sept. 22, Oct. 20, Nov. 10, Dec. 8, Jan. 19, Feb. 16, Mar. 22, and Apr. 19. Like the summer course, this seminar will give middle and high school teachers an overview of Asian history, culture, politics, and art. However, the academic year course runs over 8 months, meeting one Saturday per month. Participants will produce a lesson plan for use in their classrooms, and learn how to implement Asia into their varied curricula. Benefits for teachers include college credit or in-service points, honoraria, and funding for library materials.

How to Apply:

For consideration for the summer 2007 or academic year 2007-2008 seminars, teachers should submit the following:
1. Application Form (MS Word document)

2. Letter of Intent

3. Resume

4. Letter of recommendation from principal or administrator
