Robinson High School, Tampa Ellen HohmanRidgeview High School Gary HoogMenendez High School, St. Augustine, FL Gary Hoog has been teaching in St. John's County since 1996, first at Nease High School and now at Menendez High School. Hoog is a graduate of the University of South Florida (BS International Studies, 1983; BS Education, 1987) and has attended classes in Asian Studies (Univ. of Illinois), Conflict Resolution (USIP- Washington, DC), and an Insurance Institute (FSU). His other work on campus includes stints as a Debate and High Q advisor (NHS), Senior Sponsor and MUN Advisor (MHS). He also does homebound teaching. Anne JusticeRandall Middle School, Lithia, FL Anne's undergraduate major was in Russian Studies, along with a M.S. in Educational Leadership. She has taught in Hillsborough County schools for 15 years. James LeeBartram Trail High School Jimmy has been married 19 years to Beth, who is a comptroller for Georgia-Pacific Shared Service Office in Jacksonville. They have two daughters, ages 14, 9th grade, enjoys piano, singing and learning the guitar, and 16, who is her schools newspaper news editor, and many other school groups, and of course looking forward to the driver's license next month. SchmidtEastside High School, Gainesville, Florida Eileen SnyderInverness Middle School Eileen teaches The Geography of Africa/Asia and Oceania. Susan TaboadaRidgeview High School, Orange Park, FL Susan graduated from Florida International University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Education, as well as National Board Certification. She is also a veteran of the US Navy. Herrick A. (H.A.) Smith, MALASSocial Studies chair/Latin American Studies/AP Economics/GIS H.A. majored in Philosophy/Religion, and History, and minored in Spanish at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. After teaching middle school American History, World Cultures, and World Geography for eight years in Saint Augustine he was fortunate to be received into the University of Florida's Center for Latin American Studies as a Notley scholar in 1995, completing the Master of Arts in Latin American Studies (MALAS) program in 1997. Since 1997 he has taught at Nease High School in Saint Augustine in the Latin American Studies, as well as in the Dual Enrollment, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate programs. His subjects include Latin American History, Dual Enrollment World Civilizations, and AP Economics. When not working, he enjoys surfing, fishing, and being outdoors with his wife and two elementary aged sons, as well as church and community activities.
